Welcome, Pack 970 families! Popcorn is our Pack’s most important fundraiser of the year. By participating, you can cover all or part of your Scout’s annual dues while supporting the adventures we love and the camps we use. This year’s fundraiser runs September - October weekends, with the final day of sales on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Together, let’s Fuel Your Adventure!

That’s it! You’re ready to start.
Selling popcorn is about more than just fundraising.
Keeps Scouting Affordable: Every sale helps offset dues, making Scouting accessible for all families.
Funds Adventures: Proceeds support Pack 970 events like Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold, campouts, and STEM activities.
Supports Our Council: A portion goes to Circle Ten Council, which maintains incredible camps like Camp Wisdom and Camp James Ray.
Builds Life Skills: Scouts learn goal setting, money management, communication, perseverance, and confidence with every sale.
Each Scout’s annual Pack dues are $350. Families can cover part or all of these dues through popcorn sales instead of paying out of pocket.
1 two-hour storefront shift = $100 dues credit
$300 in online sales = $100 dues credit
4+ shifts OR $1,100+ in sales = FULL $350 dues covered
Combine shifts and sales to reduce or eliminate dues.
Now: Families register in Trail’s End and sign up for shifts.
September & October: Fundraising weekends at storefronts, plus wagon and online sales anytime.
Sunday, November 2: Final day of sales.
Storefront sales are the fastest way to raise funds.
Pack 970 has been awarded premium storefronts this year, including Kroger, Rudy’s Bar-B-Q, and Lowe’s.
Families sign up for storefront shifts directly in the Trail’s End app.
Shifts are 2 hours each. Every Scout present earns credit toward dues.
Important: The first shift of the day picks up popcorn, table, and banner from our Popcorn Kernel Scott’s house. The last shift of the day returns them to Scott’s house (8121 Lonesome Spur Trail, McKinney, TX 75070).
If multiple Scouts (like siblings) share a shift, total sales are split evenly between them.
All of Pack 970’s popcorn sales are tracked in the Trail’s End app.
Download the app (Apple App Store and Google Play Store).
Create an account for your Scout.
Council: Circle Ten
Unit: Pack 970
Registration Code: REVK8
Add a photo and short “About Me” to personalize your Scout’s sales page.
Use the app to sign up for storefronts, track sales, and share your Scout’s online link with family and friends.
Pack 970’s main “reward” is dues relief - Scouts can cover up to the full $350 with sales and shifts.
Trail’s End also provides Amazon gift cards and prizes based on sales totals. Rewards are tracked automatically in the app.
Q: What should my Scout wear for storefront sales?
A: Scouts should wear their Class A uniform.
Q: How do we handle money at storefronts or wagon sales?
A: Log all payments in the Trail’s End app. Cash/checks can be collected but must be entered and remitted through the app’s “Pay Now” feature.
Q: Can siblings or parents help at storefront shifts?
A: Parents must be present. Siblings can help cheer, but only registered Scouts earn dues credit.
Q: What if multiple Scouts (like siblings) are working the same storefront shift?
A: Sales from that shift are split evenly among the Scouts present.
Q: What if we can’t make storefront shifts?
A: Focus on online sales. Every $300 = $100 dues credit.
Q: What if my Scout doesn’t sell popcorn?
A: Families who don’t participate will simply pay the full $350 dues.
Q: Who do I contact with questions?
A: Contact our Popcorn Kernel, Scott Scarborough, at scottmegan07@gmail.com or call/text (469) 323-6548.
