Cub Scouting is part of the Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), available to boys and girls from kindergarten through fifth grade, or 5 to 10 years of age and their families. Cub Scouting is part of the worldwide Scouting movement and aims to promote character development, citizenship training, personal fitness, and leadership.
Within a Cub Scout Pack, there are dens for children at each school grade level. After Cub Scouts, at the older level, roughly 6th grade, the kids will enter a Scouts BSA Troop for Boys or a Scouts BSA Troop for Girls.
Our Pack is part of the Iron Horse District of Circle Ten Council.
Cub Scouts is open to boys and girls who are 5 to 10 years old or Kindergarten through 5th grade. Pack 970 is chartered under Circle 10 Council and is open to youth and families of ALL FAITHS.
Cub Scouting IS NOT a religious organization.
Pack Meetings are on the fourth Tuesday from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Den meetings will typically meet on the first and second Tuesday of each month from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Therefore, it is reasonable to ensure you have Tuesday evenings available for Cub Scouts. (see the calendar for a detailed schedule).
