1. Pull the Advancement reports in Scoutbook 

   • Send the order to the Scout Shop so they can pull everything for you!!! 

   • Save the Purchase Order (PO) PDFs in this folder just in case you need to untangle something later.

2. Purchase all of the advancement items:

   • Once you pick up the order, put everything in snack size baggies. 

   • Use a sharpie to write each child's name on the baggie

   • Put the snack size baggies into a gallon size baggie to hand to the den leader when the den comes up so they can talk about what their den did, take a group photo, and then hand out the snack baggies to each kid. 

   • Should all be tax free under Pack 970

   • Rank patches are free of charge - Paid for by Ross Perot foundation. MUST have the Rank Advancement report submitted to get them free.

3. Use the Pack Meeting template to create your slide deck (in this folder are also Archives from prior years to use as inspiration) 

   • Watch the Pack Meeting slide deck template video 

   • Grab photos from WhatsApp den posts for the month

   • Grab Adventure Icons for the presentation from the Scouting America website

4. After the Pack meeting, go into the Scoutbook Purchase Order and close the order. IF ANYTHING WAS NOT PURCHASED, like out of stock items that you need to purchase later, remove them from the purchase order FIRST then close the order. This will ensure that the item stays in your queue for the next pack meeting so you can award the missing items later

2. Your computer with the Google Slide show open before you get to school to prevent wifi issues

   • Pack wagon

   • Projector

   • 2 stands for projector and computer

   • Power strip

   • Powerpoint clicker or mouse or have someone click slides for you

   • Speaker with microphone

   • Projector screen (in black bag)

   • Pack flag and US flag (in black flag bag)

   • 2 gold flag stands

   • Cub bucks stuff (blue IKEA bag)

4. FOR MARCH AND APRIL ONLY - Bring the wooden bridge that has the Scout Oath from storage. It's heavy!

5. FOR MARCH AOL CROSSOVER - Bring the AOL Crossover ceremony box with candles, tablecloth, etc.

6. FOR FEBRUARY AND APRIL - Bring the Blue & Gold totebox

September 

October - Halloween carnival theme

1.  Do the advancements

2. Kids come in costumes and then have a carnival (cornhole, mummy wrap, cup stacking, pumpkin bowling, etc.)

November - Charlie Brown Thanksgiving feast theme

1. Advancements happen, then we start the video

3. While video is playing, we pass out food to the scouts that mimics what is seen on the table at the feast in the movie

December - Winter/Christmas theme

1. After the advancements are done. Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive

2. We hire a santa to come and hand out all of the Pinewood Derby Car kits

3. You'll need to buy all of the car kits and we gift wrap them to make them feel more special when they are handed out. There should be a bunch in a box in storage that are left over from last year and already wrapped! 

4. Parents can buy PWD cars at the meeting too at cost.

January - Halloween carnival theme

February - Blue & Gold birthday party theme with games (cupcakes, no meal)

1.  Bring the blue & gold totebox with decor, etc.

March - AOL Crossover

1. Bring the wooden bridge that has the Scout Oath

2. Use the AOL Crossover Ceremony - there is a box of items for this ceremony in storage

April/early May - Rank advancement ceremony

1. Since the pack has grown so much, do this on a Saturday so that there is not so much rush to get out on the school night since you can't start pack meetings until 7 PM due to getting into the school at 6:45. Kids/parents get tired and antsy because it's a school night and this meeting runs long

2. Recommend doing the Advancement stuff by den first like normal, THEN do the bridging ceremony 

3. This is where neckerchiefs get swapped so the rank advancement is done in reverse from Webelos down to Chipmunks so that the neckerchiefs can be taken off and handed down to the next rank. 

4. After the rank advancement ceremony, the Committee Chair will update all of the WhatsApp chats to new names and icons.
